WHO AM I?
I am a creative and independent professional with more than 15 years of international experience as a researcher and designer. I started my career in 2005 when I worked as a graphic designer and in 2008 I started my journey in technology, as a UI/UX designer and researcher in the fields of user experience (UX), interaction design (IXD) and human-computer interaction (HCI). I have a bachelor's in Industrial design (2007), master's in strategic design and communication (2011) and a PhD in computer science - HCI (2021).
I'm a data-driven and ethical researcher with experience in mixed methods and design projects. I'm a good communicator, design advocate and relationship builder, committed to delivering innovation through participatory processes that bring together user expectations, stakeholders’ perspectives and designers' ideas. As a researcher, I use mixed methods to understand user needs, generate design insights and detect business opportunities. I don't follow recipes and I believe UX researchers should be able to creatively adapt methods to each context, user group and product being analysed.
As a UX professional, I also put energy in creating powerful presentations, speaking to different audiences, and writing objetive reports. I work well with tight deadlines and simultaneous projects - in fact, I work better that way - and new ideas naturally pop into my head. My long term goal is to improve UX methods so there are more tangible resources for a human-centered design, where no one is left behind. I'm EU national fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese and I love to move around and experience new cultures.
